针对我国湿地具有水陆过渡性、类型多样性、过程复杂性和人类活动强干扰等特点,加强湿地形成演化及生态过程的多学科交叉集成研究,发展湿地水循环和生物地球化学循环的相关理论,建立和完善我国湿地科学理论体系,为国家湿地保护、管理提供技术支撑,为保障粮食安全提供低湿农田治理技术体系。引领我国湿地科学创新和科技进步,将实验室建成国家湿地科学创新基地,国家湿地管理决策咨询智库、湿地科学研究人才培养中心和湿地科技成果转移转化平台。
Wetlands in China are characterized as transitional, various, complex and highly-disturbed; therefore, the Key Laboratory will strengthen interdisciplinary studies on wetland formation and evolution, develop wetland hydrological and biogeochemical cycling theories, establish and improve the theoretical foundation of wetland science, in order to support national wetland protection and management, and provide technical guidance for effective irrigation agriculture to ensure grain production. The Key Laboratory will lead scientific discovery and technical advancement in wetland science, solidifying its position as China’s wetland research base, national think tank for wetland management decision making, , training center for wetland researchers, and platform for wetland science and technology ransfer.
